| I want to ask the girls from Philipines, is english a native language? Does everyone speak english? Because I met so many girls from philipines that speak english! I think that is so cool, I wish people in my country speak english too, but nobody knows english here! (well not nobody, but very few speak english) | |

Because I met so many girls from philipines that speak english! I think that is so cool, I wish people in my country speak english too, but nobody knows english here! (well not nobody, but very few speak english) Well English is our second language (I think... well for me it is LOL) English is part of our curriculum in school, even public school students have English classes. Not all of us could speak English fluently (take me as a good example) though there are also a lot of Filipino's who are fluent in it. I actually envy you cause you can speak portugese and spanish... My ancestors are Spanish, mostly from my dad's side, I was taught Spanish by my dad at a very young age along with English since his mom (a mi abuela) could only speak English, Spanish and Illongo (a native language). Unfortunately, I just suck at learning other languages, LOL. I try really hard to learn, though.

| Cool, they teach english here in schools too, even public school, but it's really bad, like pronunciation and stuff, but I think you speak, (well at least write) english very good, and all the other philipino girls also write english very good, I think that is very cool!! | |

Well, not all English teachers here are good.. mind you, I have this English teacher who has an accent and bad pronunciation but she's really good in sentence pattern and stuff. Though there are English teachers who speak and teaches English smoothly as if they're americans. Well I think we Filipino's are a lover of the American culture, not everyone but a lot are. I think that's why we could speak and write english "quite" fluently.
